Answers to common questions.

Quests and the Council

Why is Send for King Review disabled?

You need at least one link, or at least one file you uploaded, on the Quest. Notes alone don’t count. Your status must also be Pending or Changes Requested.

Why is Start Estimating disabled?

The AI reads Markdown only. Upload at least one .md file with the requirements. PDFs, images and links are kept for the Council but not read.

I uploaded a new file. Did the estimate disappear?

No. Estimates are never wiped automatically. If the Markdown files changed, the Wizard sees a banner and can choose Estimate again.

Why can't I delete a file?

Only the person who uploaded a file can remove it, and only while their contribution is editable (not while it is under review or approved).

Why can't the Heroes see the estimate yet?

Heroes see the committed estimate only after the King approves the Council. The King sees it as soon as the General commits it.

Why is the Step Workspace locked?

The Quest must be approved and started (Select Heroes → Start Quest) before Steps can be created.

Steps

Why can't I claim a Step?

You must be on the Quest’s Hero team (or hold a Step on it), and the Step must be open for claiming and not finished.

I raised a Trap by mistake. Can I turn it into a normal Step?

No. Whether a Step is a Trap is fixed at creation. Ask an Admin to archive it and create a normal Step instead.

Why can't I archive a Step?

Archiving Steps is reserved for Admins and Super Admins. They can also bring an archived Step back from Archived on the Step Workspace. Restore an archived Step →

I picked the wrong step type. Can I change it?

Yes, from Type in the Step details, if you are on the Council, the King or a Super Admin and the Step is not done. Change the step type →

Time

Why can't I give time to a Step?

A Step can receive time only when it is in progress, in review, or done. Move it out of To Do first, or use the status dropdown in the allocation panel.

My session is longer than 8 hours. What now?

It needs approval. Explain why it ran long and Send for approval; the Quest’s General or the King decides. Approvals →

I forgot to start the timer.

Use Time spent on the Step to log time by hand, for the last 7 days. Older time needs a Warden. Logging time by hand →

Why is my testing time showing as development?

Only time on Steps of the Testing step type counts as testing. Time on other types counts as development.

XP

Do I earn XP for hours worked?

No. XP rewards delivered work: Steps moving forward and Quests completing.

Why did my XP go down?

A bug penalty: Traps caused by your Steps went beyond their tolerance when the Quest completed. Check XP Activity History in your Vault for Bug Penalty entries.

Can I spend my coins?

Not yet. The Reward Store is coming soon.
