Logging time by hand
Add time you forgot to track, and correct a split you got wrong.
Add time by hand
Forgot to start the timer? Log the time directly on the Step.
Open the Step's actions
On the Quest’s Steps tab, click Time spent (clock icon) on a Step assigned to you.
Fill in the entry
- Date and Start time of the work
- Duration, for example
2h 30m - Note: what the time was for (required)
Click Log time
The entry is saved and all of its minutes go to that Step.
Duration format
Durations use Jira-style working units, separated by spaces or commas:
| Unit | Means |
|---|---|
m | minutes |
h | hours |
d | a working day = 8 hours |
w | a working week = 5 days = 40 hours |
So 1d 2h 30m is 10 hours 30 minutes, and 3w,2d is 136 hours.
Rules
- You can add time for the last 7 days. Anything older needs a Warden, who adds it with a recorded reason.
- Entries over 8 hours ask you to Confirm this entry first.
- Time cannot be in the future, and cannot overlap time you already recorded: “Time cannot be counted twice.”
- You can log time on a completed Quest, for work you really did before it closed.
Entries made by hand are marked Manual in the work log; timed ones are marked Timer.
Correct a split
Allocated time to the wrong Step? Fix it from the work log.
Expand the Step's row
On the Steps tab, expand a Step to see its Work log.
Click Correct on the entry
Re-split the session’s minutes across your Steps. Every minute must still go to a Step.
Click Save correction
A correction never edits history. It writes a new version of the split (shown as v2, v3…), and the earlier version stays visible in the entry’s history. Totals always use the latest version.
| Who | Can correct |
|---|---|
| You | Your own splits while the Quest is open. A reason is optional. |
| A Warden | Anyone’s split, and splits on closed Quests. A reason is required. |
The work log
Expand any Step on the Steps tab to see its Work log: one line per session with who worked, the day, Manual or Timer, the minutes, and the version if it was corrected. Expand a line to see the note and its correction history.
Heroes see their own entries; the King, Admins, Wardens, and the General overseeing the Adventure see everyone’s.
