Levels and stages
How XP turns into levels on the Hero ladder.
Every Hero climbs the same ladder: 36 levels, grouped into 6 stages of 6 levels each. Your level is the highest one whose cumulative XP you have reached.
| Stage | Levels |
|---|---|
| Foundation | 1–6 |
| Acceleration | 7–12 |
| Stabilization | 13–18 |
| Mastery | 19–24 |
| Elite | 25–30 |
| Legendary | 31–36 |
Within every stage the six levels are named Explorer, Navigator, Adventurer, Pathfinder, Pioneer and Trailblazer.
XP per level
With the default ladder:
| Levels | XP to reach the next level |
|---|---|
| 1–10 | 38,850 |
| 11–24 | 67,987 |
| 25–36 | 97,125 |
Your Vault shows your current level and the XP you still need for the next one.
Why your stage matters
Your stage sets how much responsibility you carry for bugs: more experienced Heroes are held to a higher standard. See Bug governance.
Configuring the ladder
Leaders can rename stages and change the XP curve in Settings → Levels & Progression, including Auto-distribute Steps, which spreads a total XP across all 36 levels with a growth factor.
